Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to collect and transport waste materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Load and unload refuse using mechanical knowledge of various truck types and equipment.
- Drive efficiently through designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and route logs for operational accountability.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily routes and address any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license.
- Mechanical knowledge of tractor-trailers.
- Strong ability to load and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with waste hauling operations.
- Excellent driving record, with experience in delivery or trash hauling roles preferred.
